About Us

The hats we wear…

We care about our customers. We care about your image. We care about quality.

Having gained 20 years’ experience in the millinery industry, Carmi Hatters was revived by Daloo Mistry and his three sons in 1974. Together with four employees, they manufactured and supplied ladies’ fashion hats to local retailers.

His son, Arun, grew the business by increasing the product range, introducing men’s hats, golf hats, safari hats and uniform hats. He expanded the factory capacity and began supplying hats to other centres and eventually won a tender bid in 2001.

Arun’s nephew, Jitesh Mistry joined Carmi Hatters and is now Chief Operating Officer. Jitesh’s mandate is to take Carmi Hatters to new heights.

The Carmi Hatters family has grown from four staff to our current complement of 72. Our production has grown in parallel and we currently manufacture thousands of hats a year.

Our ethos remains to care about our customers, care about their image and care about quality.

We are agile. Being owner-run means we are personally accountable to our customers and staff. We live and breathe Carmi Hatters so you know you have our full attention.
